Placentero chair
The “Placentero” chair is designed by the young Argentinean designer Batti. It’s made from eco leather (white, red, or black), the outer sphere plastic surface is a slick cool-grey fibreglass shell. The Placentero aims to mimic the experiences of the human beings have before birth. Placentero chair is only found at PID.Se.
The downside: weighs 70 Pounds (32 Kg)! a little bit more than I expected.

...looking chair. I wonder how comfortable it would actually be and wither it would make me feel sea sick sitting on it.
Horrible name
Yuppies love their concept pieces, don't they? Tis very silly. I not only can't imagine fitting this piece into anything resembling a private home, but I can't imagine explaining this particular concept with a straight face. "Oh you must try it, it's built specifically to be placental! It's just perfect for those of us who continue to rue the day we ever left the womb!".
I think this is a great idea. Meditating in the fetal position, while listening to the human heart beat, is supposed to mimic the feeling of being back in the placental, a safe and comforting place. I think this piece of furniture would be so comfortable and be an interesting conversation starter.
I think it would be quite dangerous for small animals and children who might happen to be on the floor nearby. You could probably roll over a ferret or a puppy or a hand pretty easily. And the name is just awful. However, I will admit that it looks quite comfortable.

I personally own one Placentero in all white for my home.
It is located in my living room and makes a great atmosphere to the area.
I totally love it and enjoy it every day. It is a designer masterpiece and a must have for you who desire modern design and high quality products.
There is many other products at PID.Se that follow the same concept but this one is one of their best.
It is a really good explanation that it does feel like meditation without any work at all.
Just lean back and enjoy.
And for you who believe it to be dangerous for small children and dogs, my little puppy have not been affected by it in any way and there is no problem at all to keep control of the Placentero while you move around.
