Designer Jeannie Fraise loves to travel, les belles arts and interior design. She’s also a big fan of colorful, graphic home textiles and accessories used for creating unique, playful and comfortable living spaces. During the past seven years, under the label Lotus Bleu, she has worked on over forty interior design projects, home renovation and furniture reupholstery. Each time she achieved spectacular results and therefore her work has been included in the San Francisco Decorator’s Showcase and gained regional and national recognition.

Between comestible furniture and ephemeral art furniture, you have to choose the destiny of this sugarchair. If you choose to enjoy its delights, you will need to ingest 30 pounds of colored sugar! The sugarchair can be licked by its possessor into a individualized and unique form.

'Dressed' table set designed by Marcel Wanders for Alessi is simply stunning. Meant for special occasions, the tableware mixes modern minimalism and traditional luxury with a high-class look thanks to its delicate lace-like ornaments and stylish flowery edges. With a similar design, the cutlery has an incontestable refined quality reminding us of Baroque age.

You now this scenario, I’m sure: you have a hard day at work, then take the crowded train and finally get home. There, the last thing you want is to do housework, because you’ll end up spelling everything anyway. Guess what, these kinds of days are actually really inspiring for designers.  

Californian furniture designer Farzan Nemat aka MSTRF handcrafts beautiful coffee tables, head boards/bed frames, nightstands and decorative wall pieces from certified wood. His design philosophy is based on Fibonacci principle; now I am not a math expert but I can appreciate the complex geometric aesthetic of these designs. More so I would love to have one of those cute coffee tables with laser cut patterns and glossy lacquer finish.

Recent extinct animals are a great inspirational source for designers. Josh Finkle created special wooden toys based on four lost species: the Tasmanian Tiger, the Quagga, the Pig Footed Bandicoot and the Steller's Sea Cow, chosen for their beautiful shapes and patterns. The only difference is that the miniature toys have more simplified, vertical statures and human-like proportions.

An extraordinary exhibition awaits you until November 6, 2010 at the Next Level Gallery, in Paris. "Under my Skin", by architect and designer Bina Baitel, astonished its viewers with a series of mutant lamps and a new, original technique of light diffusion. Our favorite: a lamp that becomes carpet (Snug lamp) and another one that can provide you free space for your home (table lamp Pad); the raw material designer used is a special leather, just like a "skin" which looks like a leather outside the lamp, as I told you before, but becomes light in the inner part.

Now there's something cute for your children (or even for yourself if you like little animal plush toys to accessorize your home). Soft toys from IKEA are good for hugging, comforting, and playing.
